How are you involved in education?
- I am the Director of Technology for Abington Friends School.
What’s your ideal classroom or school like?
- I would set up a school that is inquiry driven and very open ended. Everyone would have a mac air and an Ipad. There would be lots of open collaborative spaces. Students would be grouped by interest instead of how old they are. There would be no administrator, only faculty, who would all model 21st century learning, and learn with their students. We would travel, connect with local businesses and university’s’ and the world would be our classroom. Social justice would be threaded throughout the curriculum.
Have you ever attended an unconference before?
- Yes, I have attended EDcamp Philly before, and have set up my own small unconference at my current school.
If you were to lead a session at EdCamp, what would it be about?
- Social networking and learning; Personal learning networks; Google Apps for Education; Talking to Parents about 21st century learning and digital footprints
Are you on Twitter?
What is your favorite digital tool?
