Meet Chris Champion, High School Technlogy Teacher/Ninja

If you’d like to be featured in our Meet the Edcampers series, fill out this form!

How are you involved in education?
I teach 10th-12th graders about computer networking and support, programming, and robotics at Cumberland Perry AVTS in Mechanicsburg, PA

What’s your ideal classroom or school like?
Gary Stager is the principal. All the teachers have full reign to experiment, create pods for kids to play. When it comes time to write up a lab observation, there is an English teacher there to help. When it comes time to research the history of robotics, there is a History teacher there.

Kids learn because they are interested in something, and that passion drives them to experiment on their own.

Have you ever attended an unconference before?
EduBloggerCon

If you were to lead a session at Edcamp, what would it be about?
I’d love to lead a session about teaching kids logic skills through the use of programming – be it Logo or C.

Do you have a website or blog?
on the Internet 😛 (it’s not used much)

Are you on Twitter?

What is your favorite digital tool?
