Name: Robin Martin

How are you involved in education?
I have worked for Unionville-Chadds Ford SD for 33 years. Some years as Health &PE teacher and coach, 8 years as assistant principal and the last 12 years as a technology/integration teacher. During the past two years I have been an Adjunct Professor for Wilkes University teaching several of their graduate technology classes right in my own classroom! I really enjoy helping newbies find that Ahahhhh moment for someting that will work in their curriculum.

What’s your ideal classroom or school like?
Each student would have a laptop or an iPad to use throughout the day. An outstanding and fast network that never when down. The teacher would have an iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro filled with exceptional software. BUT before the teacher would get that, they would commit to training, training, training and using it with their daily lessons. The classroom would have a few laptops for kids that need to use those for various things like movie making or podcast editing. There would be a projector connected to a whiteboard for the teacher’s use. There would be few desks, bur comfortable bean bag seats and a sofa or two. Of course the teacher would have a comfy lazyboy recliner!

Have you ever attended an unconference before?
Yes at NECC and it was great. I learned quite a bit and make some good connections which I have stayed in touch with over the years.

If you were to lead a session at Edcamp, what would it be about?
