Idea Board
What would you like to hear about at edcamp philly? What would you like to talk about? This is edcamp, so feel free to stray from “traditional” presentation models – what would really help all participants get the most out of each session? Share your ideas in the comments below. (Hat tip to edcamp detroit for this idea!)

Take Two: I’d like to discuss methods for disseminating information internally so that we can be more effective at teaching our colleagues and admin to know what resources are available, accessible, usable, effective, flexible, creative, quantifiable, etc. etc. etc.
Arlen, I’m 100% up for that topic!
I would like to discuss Standards-Based Grading with people who use it in HS and people who would like to use it.
Fran, I’m also interested in that conversation! Let’s make sure we get some folks together for a session on SBG!
I’ve been using SBG this entire year and love it. I’d be super happy to talk about it.
I, too, would be interested in discussing Standards-Based Grading.
Shawn Cornally’s big collection of writings on SBG is really interesting.

I’m always interested to talk to anyone about things like this.
What about the teachers who still live in the dark ages and don’t have iPads, SmartBoards, etc? I’d like to hear about ESL kids who have limited or no formal schooling. In the 7th grade on a 1st grade reading level.
I want to do twitter for newbies in the first session. (a re-cap from EdCampIS) I will be getting into registration by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin. (My train gets to Philly at 8:15am) Can someone sign me up?
Sarah Thomas´s last [type] ..Parker’s lessons on empathy.
I would love to do a session on Edmodo and its amazing use in the classroom.
I also see some people want to talk QR Codes in the classroom, and I am all over that as well!
3 weeks away! Can’t wait!
I’m interested in talking about both of those too! I have used Edmodo but would love to talk more with others who are using it too. Same with QR codes, but that is newer to me so am excited to see how others are using them.
Katy,
I have had a fun time using both, but I am hoping to learn new ways as well!
Love Edmodo! It would be great if more teachers were introduced to it.
Lisa M´s last [type] ..“Fungagement” is Necessary in Our Classrooms!
I have no problem singing the Edmodo gospel!
Third entry – I want to discuss with classroom teachers how to collaborate with school librarians to make THEIR jobs easier!
I need some help with Google Apps for Education. I want to incorporate it into my school and share how awesome it is, but I’ve never used it! Help!
We use Google Apps in many ways at our school – we love it! I could do a session with colleagues about ways we use the apps.
Definitely would love to check out Google Apps in Education!
I would be willing to talk about Skype in the Classroom and share what I have done with others.
I have used Skype once, but would love to chat about others are using it in their classroom.
I have used Skype soooooo much this year, and it has been a wonderful experience!

OOOOOPS! By ‘their’ jobs easier, I meant TEACHERS’ jobs can be made easier by using the services of the schools’ library media programs!
Arlen´s last [type] ..Whoville…
I’d like to know what people are using to house data so that it is accessible, useful, and will assist int he decision-making process for teachers.
I would like to hear how people are using Google Earth & Sketch Up in their classrooms.
We are started to incorporate QR Codes in our classroom, but would love to learn how to use it more effectively.
I am totally into talking about this! I have a couple fun lessons I did with my class this year, and I would love to share and learn some new ideas as well!

Love talking about assessment, measurement, and grading. maybe we can try to get a panel or roundtable discussion going. Who’s in?
I would love to be part of this discussion. As a new administrator, and new to the unconference, I would like to see how others are implementing this.
