It's not very tech- but I would enjoy a conversation about character development in the 5-7 grade years. Are there organizations and initiatives to help encourage preteen and tweens to be leaders and rise about the gossip, etc. and instill them that self confidence can lead to treating others with kindness? How do we deliver this message?

Since you only expect half of those who register to attend, why not take walk-ins? Would it help if I said PLEASE? :)

Luke, if you're coming to Philly by train from NYC, you'll be disembarking at 30th Street Station, which is at 30th & Market, about 10 blocks from Huntsman Hall (it's 6 blocks west & 4 or 5 blocks south of the train station). You can take the subway to 34th & Market, but it's probably simpler to just cab it from the station. Ask the driver to drop you at 36th & Walnut. OTOH, if you're feeling intrepid & the weather is nice, you can walk! :-)

Hi Julie! We actually have 300 wifi codes. Since it's customary for about half of the registered Edcamp attendees to not show up, we figure we'll be just fine! See you Saturday! -kj-

For any out of towners: UPenn is easily accessible by Public Transit. You can take the Market Frankford El (the "blue line") west to 34 street, or any of the Trolleys ("green") and get off at 36.

Julie,
Thanks for your question. We are actively working with UPENN to ensure that everyone who attends gets a WIFI pass. At this point we have 200 passes. We are hoping to have more by the day of the event, but cannot guarantee it. Thanks for understanding.
