Edcamp Impacts Individuals

EdCamp Philly came into my life when I was in the middle of many changes in my personal and professional life.  I had recently moved from a lower technology high school to a 1:1 high school and knew I would need to have new ideas and a vision for my new high school library. That year, 2012, I was able to attend EdCamp Philly at UPennWharton and left feeling revitalized for my school and library.  The next year I volunteered to help as a organizer and have done so every year since my first EdCamp Philly.  The connections I have made and the conversations I have made have made me a better educator and allowed me to stretch outside of my comfort zone and focus on inquiry based learning.
What can you expect from Edcamp Greater Philly this year? You can expect to have conversations about what is happening in other peoples classrooms, schools, and educational process and share your own experiences. Feel free to start your own conversation about any topic that is something you want to know more about or share something you are already doing that works for you and your students! This is an informal day of learning and connecting.
