Meet Elizabeth Zodda, Science Teacher & Department Chair

If you’d like to be featured in our Meet the Edcampers series, fill out this form!

How are you involved in education?

  • I’m a science teacher and department chair at The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA.

What’s your ideal classroom or school like?

  • My ideal classroom has four walls and lots of trust. When I started my teaching career I taught a seventh grade class in a curtained off corner of a gym, so I really appreciate four walls when I have them. My second classroom ideal is trust, because without it neither I nor the students can take the intellectual risks that lead to real learning.

Have you ever attended an unconference before?

  • I attended EdCamp Philly in 2011.

If you were to lead a session at EdCamp, what would it be about?

  • If I were to lead a session it would probably be about standards based grading. I’d love to connect with other teachers who use it and see how they implement it.

Do you have a website or blog?

Are you on Twitter?

What is your favorite digital tool?
