How are you involved in education?
I have been teaching for 4 years in Philadelphia. The first three years of my teaching career I spent with the School District of Philadelphia at Morrison Elementary teaching science and social studies to seventh and eighth graders. This is my first year at Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia Charter School as a physical science teacher, science fair coordinator, and science department chair.

I am a teacher consultant with the Philadelphia Writing Project, a past new teacher fellow with the National Science Teachers Association, and a former visiting scholar with the HistoryMakers in Chicago through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

I am an alumnus of Louisiana State University and the University of Pennsylvania.

What’s your ideal classroom or school like?
The ideal classroom is not a single, defined space. It reaches across physical and digital boundaries.
