How are you involved in education?
I am a math teacher at the High School of the Future in the School District of Philadelphia.
What’s your ideal classroom or school like?
Each student would have a laptop with wireless connectivity. There would be an Online Management System for disseminating information, blogging, receiving files, etc. I would be able to use a program to control access to programs, websites, etc to maintain focus. I would have a projector, speaker system, audio enhancement, and a doc-cam. There would be a separate room I could put kids in to work collaboratively on projects in quieter space. Tables and chairs would be movable. You know, basically the best classroom ever.
Have you ever attended an unconference before?
Nope. Kinda excited about this one.
If you were to lead a session at Edcamp, what would it be about?
How to use online databases to keep qualitative track of students for use by educators, social workers, etc.
Do you have a website or blog?
Are you on Twitter?
What is your favorite digital tool?
